Day2Day Books started in 2014 from the kitchen table serving a handful of clients in Golden, BC. Fast forward to today in 2025, we are a small team servicing clients all over the Kootenays.

Our services are mainly focused on Bookkeeping, Payroll and Cloud Based solutions to support small business owners who embrace the small town vibes and are interested in personal and professional growth. We serve mainly Corporations and non-profit organizations. Using most current technologies, our team creates continuity and custom processes that work for our clients!
Our team consists of a variety of backgrounds from hospitality to forestry and construction. All bookkeepers are proud members of the Canadian Bookkeeping Association and either are or working towards becoming a fully Certified Bookkeeper.
Job Summary:
Team Leads oversee a group of bookkeepers and ensure the efficient delivery of services to clients. They manage client expectations, supervise workflows, and act as the point of contact for clients. Team Leads are also responsible for ensuring that their team maintains high standards of accuracy and timeliness in all tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of senior bookkeepers, bookkeepers, and junior bookkeepers.
- Supervise and perform the set-up of client files, completion of financial reports and budgets.
- Supervise the reconciliation of GL accounts including cash, bank reconciliations, payroll, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities, intercompany and point of sale (POS)/system uploads
- Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies and discuss with engagement partners to develop resolutions
- Ensure clients’ needs are met and that work is delivered on time and to the highest standard.
- Serve as the main point of contact for client communications.
- Oversee and monitor the quality of bookkeeping engagements and resolve any issues in technology or team member performance
- Train and mentor junior staff, providing guidance on complex issues.
- Support the assessment and onboarding of new team members with new clients, as required
- Develop and maintain high proficiency with accounting software and provide support to clients and team members
- Recommend, implement and identify new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
- Assist with engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (i.e., budgets, WIPS, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)
- Review and approve financial reports, reconciliations, and other deliverables.
- Collaborate with the Managing Director/Owner to implement company policies.
- Monitor and manage team performance, conducting regular reviews and providing feedback.
- Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- CPB Level 4 certification or equivalent education
- Strong Quickbooks Online experience
- Dext, Hubdoc and asana knowledge is beneficial
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of bookkeeping, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Located in Canada BC - preference given to Kootenays
What else we offer:
- The annual salary range for this position is: $65,000 - $78,000 > Hours 30-40hrs per week.
