Wildernest Childcare will be a licensed group child care center opening in Spring 2025 just 10 minutes south of Golden, BC. Our program provides high-quality care for children aged 3-5 years, with a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, exploration, and holistic development. About the Position

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) to join our team. As an ECEA at Wildernest Childcare,  you will support the lead educators in providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive wages and a supportive workplace culture.

• 10-minute drive south of Golden, BC at Horse Creek

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist Early Childhood Educators in implementing activities and daily routines
• Supervise and engage with children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, and rest time
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children
• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
• Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and management
• Assist in setting up and cleaning up activities and materials
• Other duties as assigned within the child care.

Requirements

• Valid Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) Certificate in BC
• Clear Criminal Record Check
• A passion for outdoor learning and child development
• Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience in a licensed childcare setting (preferred)
• Additional courses/training related to child growth and development an asset
