Our program provides high-quality care for children aged 3-5 years, with a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, exploration, and holistic development. About the Position
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) to join our team. As an ECEA at Wildernest Childcare, you will support the lead educators in providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive wages and a supportive workplace culture.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist Early Childhood Educators in implementing activities and daily routines
- Supervise and engage with children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, and rest time
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children
- Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and management
- Assist in setting up and cleaning up activities and materials
- Other duties as assigned within the child care.
Requirements
- Valid Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) Certificate in BC
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- A passion for outdoor learning and child development
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in a licensed childcare setting (preferred)
- Additional courses/training related to child growth and development an asset
